January 1, 2021 The INSIGHT Group announced today that Deborah Hodgson-Lyons, former Vice President of Marketing of DuPont Sustainable Solutions, has been named Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Partner at the executive consulting firm.

Deborah (Deb) brings more than 25 years of experience as a senior management level marketing and sales professional, with deep experience in business planning, strategic oversight, and results-driven implementation.

Prior to INSIGHT, Deb provided project-based executive-level Marketing services to companies in the business-to-business environment, both domestic and global. Most recently, she acted as Executive Marketer for a Bay Area consulting and technology firm that serves companies implementing major capital projects and was responsible for leading go-to-market planning and execution.

At DuPont, Deb held several positions in Marketing, Sales and Business Management in the the broader Industrial sector, from healthcare/ pharmaceuticals to petrochemicals/commodity chemicals and manufacturing. From 2008 through 2015, as DuPont Sustainable Solutions sought to grow its consulting services business, Deb contributed to the overall global business/portfolio strategy development and marketing strategy for the operations management consulting and process technologies businesses. Her responsibilities included product and services offerings, market positioning, messaging, opinion-leadership, multi-channel communications, pricing strategies, competitive intelligence and key marketing metrics.

At INSIGHT, Deb has led projects with a major IT distribution company to develop go-to-market strategies to build revenue streams from services vs. products. In addition, she co-led a recent INSIGHT Group study on Services Business Model Transformation exploring how the COVID-19 pandemic will shape and change the future with a focus on what strategies and actions leading-edge firms are employing to be more successful in the ‘business new normal’. Deb also co-authored an executive brief titled “Cultivating Best Practices in Remote Marketing/Market Management.” As Chief Marketing Officer for INSIGHT Deb will lead the firm’s Marketing/Market Management Practice to help clients create competitive advantage.
